Battery Booster

A couple of weeks ago I (well, Bessie the blue Jazz) had a flat(ish) battery and didn't have enough oomph to turn over. It was my own fault, so not complaints just an annoyance.

Mr AA man came out and did a boost start after checking the battery was OK. All well and good. But how to cope if I do another ID 10 T mistake and flatten the battery again?

Its not a bad bit of kit. 18AH battery and all the odds and sods including an air compressor for £70. Works as described (well, I haven't needed to boost start the battery yet) and the case is neat enough to slide under one of the front seats. Its a 'just fits' fit. so it won't slide out and rattle around.

Its a handy bit of insurance I say.

Have a similar unit, works great, and is good insurance. Keeping it in the car however during the winter months is ill advised. The Lithium Ion battery does not retain the charge in cold temps. The unit is small enough I can keep it in my briefcase, and warm.

Good idea, though it doesn't get as cold here as it does in New York

Looks like a great kit.

Highly suggest this one . The Rockford Pocket Power / Jump Starter RFDPPJS2976DLX . Jump started a relatives' 2007 Corolla with a dead battery of 2 months or more . Started twice with the Jump Starter with ease . Ordered at SEARS for under $70 before tax . Available at SEARS , Amazon and other online stores . Many good reviews . Go to these to view how well it works .
