How difficult is it to open one of these up and work on? Any special tools needed or is there a workshop manual that covers them?

I've never opened up a transmission before but it's my understanding that it's not too bad as long as you keep everything organized. At least that's the case for a manual anyway. The plan is to put an MFactory LSD inside.
