Pipe under hood leaking fluid? (2010 Fit Sport)
I have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport and was looking under the hood today and noticed an open-ended pipe or hose of some type between the battery and air filter cabin box. It looks like some sort of fluid has been coming out of it and dripping onto the component beneath it, but I do not see it dripping or leaking when inspecting it after the car is off. I haven't been able to find the other end of the hose and I can't find a reference to the part in the manual so I wanted to ask here to make sure that it is okay and not something that should either have a cap on it or not be leaking fluid onto the other component underneath it. Is it the breather hose? Is it okay for it to leak onto the component below it? Please see pics. Thanks.
Update: after re-searching using the terms "hose" instead of pipe I have now found out that it is the transmission breather tube. I still can't find a clear answer on if it is normal for some fluid or water, etc. to leak out of the hose.

Trans case vent tube.
The residue on the end of the tube, to me, looks fairly typical of these cars.
I only see a small stain on the case below the vent, which is also typical.
A couple drops of a fluid can spread out quite a ways and collect a whole lot of dirt residue over a long period of time.
If it had belched a bunch of fresh trans fluid, that might worry me.
