2009 rear defogger fuse

Hi all, something strange here. It started freezing and I noticed my rear defogger isn't working. I figured fuse.. I check manual and tells me the fuse is in space 54/59 so I check the fuse box and there aren't any fuses in those spots at all?? I bought some littlefuse 20A minifuses as per manual and figured I try to put one in the spot but for the life of me I can't get the fuse in the 54 spot? Do I need a different type of fuse or am I doing something wrong? I have absolulely no clue about car stuff haha

Interesting in that the fuse is missing. Did you get the same size fuses? Suggest trying one of the existing 20A fuses in the 54 spot.

Do you have heated mirrors as well? If so do they work? They are on the same switch on mine as the rear defogger.
