It would not be the fuse itself... just a time delay switch or relay on the particular circuit....something like this device. It is probably protected by a fuse, but it would depend if the fuse to pull was before or after the timer. Before the timer and the timer may still be able to feed power...after it would likely stop juice to ...

I don't have a wiring diagram for the Fit...has anyone here ever ordered the Service Manual for the Fit?

yeah well the truth is i want to know so i can put my foglights on this circuit just to try it out. i did the 'foglight mod' (as you can see in my avatar) and since this car has no autolamp feature this would be sort of like that. 30 seconds would be pretty good. it would come in handy like when you park anywhere at night it will help you see where you're walking for a little while. i just want to try it out to see how i like it.

oooo...not a bad idea. I haven't done the Fog Light mod yet, I'm debating whether it's worth it to me or not, might do it anyways, cuz it looks simple enough. Let us know how it turns!

alas... i tried that fuse to my disappointment it only stays on for 5 seconds therefore it was not worth leaving my add a circuit for my fuse lights there. too bad but thats ok. i just wanted to try it out. Fuse 31 is a 7.5 Amp fuse too and i don't want to leave a 10 Amp fuse in that socket. It would defy the point of having a fuse there at all because i loose the protection of it.

as for the foglight mod. i love it. i use them a lot as daytime running lights. the good thing about them is that they are not ANNOYING to other drivers but it still makes me visible. i personally feel that people who drive with their headlights on during the day are annoying. another thing i like about them is that they do not shut off with the high beams on. my fit can really light up the road. i like having them on with my running lights when i'm driving when it is twilight out too. there are just benefits to having full control over the foglights.

on a positive note, today i put my vtec decals on the side of my car and they look awesome. they compliment the sport package really well, they look factory. same design as on the civic SI.

(some civic SI.. not mine)

i can't get a really good side picture of the car.. there's 4 cars in the driveway

anyways, thank you kenchan for finding out what fuse that was!

np, but that's werd cause on my 08FitSport 5MT that fuse is active
for a good 30sec after the engine is turned off, key out of the ignition.

you can use a relay to trigger your 10amp if you want to try that route,
but again, not sure why on your car it only stays on for 5sec...
