Question Shift Cell Solenoid (A) wires eaten by rodents.

So I got into my 2010 Fit Sport (Auto Trans) on Sunday to find the D Light blinking and my check engine light on. After getting the check engine code it turned out to be code p0962 (Pressure Control Solenoid A Control Circuit Low Voltage).

After doing some research I found that some people had issues with rodents chewing the wires, so I checked mine and alas, the wire connecting Shift Control Solenoid A to the rest of the wire harness was gone.

I did some research as to getting a replacement harness, and Honda told me to get part "28360-rmm-003". They seemed hesitant though, so my confusion is with trying to figure out what part to get.

After looking at pictures, I'm not sure this is the correct part.

Can anyone help me with identifying what the correct part I need it?

A spool or two of wire, solder and iron, heat shrink tubing....some time and skill

I can repair most rodent-damaged wiring issues far cheaper than trying to replace an entire harness......
It may be chewed again in the near future if you don't fix the rodent problem

If it is just one wire and accessible then do as Ezone suggests and solder in a new piece.

I have a chipmunk residing in my cabin filter. I don't mind him sleeping there but wish he would go outside to bathroom. He has been around a for a few years. Has not eaten any wiring so far. Last time I change my filter I added a dryer sheet in hopes he will move on.

Honda makes special tape with capsaicin on it to repel mice. Amazon has it.
apparently they insulated wires with soy-based rubber, which they eat.

The X through the eyes must mean it's good stuff?

Only sometimes.

Thug rats chew on that tape like beef jerky....and snort lines of D-Con for fun.

Really, I often deal with wiring damage caused by rodents in my area, and I use this tape a lot.. Once in a while something does eat the tape but it sure cuts down on repeat offenders.
