How to get signal or power cables inside the car?
Hello friends! Can anyone point me to a relevant section?
I am fitting a 'reversing' camera to the front of my 2010 GG6 1.4 EX ( like the GE6 but with semi-automatic gearbox). I'm struggling to find a way to thread the RCA (yellow phono) type cable from the engine bay to behind the dash where the display will be. Ultimately I may have to drill a suitable hole. I don't have access to a ramp but have a good hydraulic jack if I need to get under to find a good point to drill through.
Any suggestion?

Don't drill. Find a big common wire bundle. It's finished off on both ends with electrical tape. Usually, this bundle is in front of the drivers area. The only issue is the size of the RCA cable may be a bit big, to try to feed it through.
If you search for audio power wire setups, it should be a good start.

What does the cabling for a backup camera come through the engine compartment?
Normally the camera is powered off the backup light circuit unless your using the camera as a rear view mirror.. Only the video wire needs pulled to the front. You can also use the Backup light wire (Which runs the length of the car) to set a relay to turn the screen on the dash on if needed.

Ah well! i want to put this camera on the front for parking real close to the wall or other cars. I probably plan to power it off the side lights. so when i am parking I put on the side lights to power camera and display. I have the power on both sides for the display and camera. I still have to install the camera (hidden behind number plate) and made a better route for the video cable. Its currently routed through the re-circulation intake.

I looked at piggyback thru the firewall with a existing bundle but i've never had luck with slipping it thru the same grommet hence using an existing hole and fishing a wire thru on its own. Its not as clran as your process but it doesnt disturb the existing wiring

How I got video and power into car.
I did it over the coarse of about 2 hours. I loosened off the re-circulation unit and fed through the video cable and another power cable. the foam lining around the bulk head hole on the re-circulation unit holds it firm. You need to unplug about 5 block connections, 3 nuts (M6, 10mm head) that hold re-circulation and fan unit to bulkhead, 2 screws holding blower ducting to the central AC unit and pull it enough away from the bulkhead. It helps if you have a friend either push cable from the engine side or pull it through when you see the cables. I took photos. I might see about adding. BTW i obviously have the RHD version from UK
The camera is slightly hidden in the top of the 'H' on the grill badge. Obviously you remove the foot well trim and glovebox.
For clarity I removed totally the re-circulation unit as I carried out a repair too.
