New Clutch isn't working
Clutch went out on our 2012 Fit (200K miles), so bought a new clutch kit and set about doing the swap.
I got everything put back together last night and went for a test drive. When I put it in reverse and let the clutch out to back out of the garage, the clutch engagement was fairly abrupt, but the clutch did engage and I reversed out of the garage. Then I put it in 1st and eased the clutch out...I got a little bit of a lurch as the clutch engaged and then nothing.
It's acting like I've got the clutch pedal down. The pedal feels fairly normal...Press it down and it springs back, etc.
I'm assuming I screwed up something..probably with the release bearing, and the whole damn thing has to come apart again to get to it, but I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
My plan is to get the wife to actuate the clutch while I look and see if the release lever is moving. If it is, then next step is to remove the slave to rule out any problem with it (maybe the slave's piston is sticking or something and not going through it's full range of motion?) If the clutch isn't engaged with the slave removed, then the issue is something with the release lever, release bearing, etc...all of which requires pulling the trans again.
Thoughts?

My issue turned out to be that the axles weren't seated in the trans and they popped out.
Unfortunately, I didn't discover that until I'd already taken a bunch of crap back off, but wasn't that big of a deal to fix.
In all, it took about 13 hours to replace the clutch, with 3 of those being re-doing stuff because I didn't seat the axles.
One thing that helped me...the manual doesn't call for this, but I removed the driver's side cooling fan and radiator reservoir. That's a total of three 10mm bolts and one connector, so it only adds a couple of minutes to the job, but it gives you much more room to work when the trans is going back in.
