How to remove wiper fluid nozzle on Fit 09
Hello all,
I have a Honda Fit Sport 2009. The windshield wiper fluid on the drivers side has started to malfunction a bit. It normally sprays 2 streams out over my half of the windshield that hit about halfway up the windshield. The problem is, the stream on the left (from inside the car) is spraying up over the windshield now, like something is stuck in it. I don't see the individual spray holes to try to clean it with a pin or something, and when I look under the hood, I don't see how to access the underside of the nozzle to potentially take it out and clean it. I've seen this done on YouTube on a Honda Civic and it looked pretty simple; but I can't figure it out on the Fit.
Thanks in advance.

It's part of the plastic piece between the hood and the windshield. You can pull the entire piece out to access the back of the nozzles without too much fuss - if I remember correctly it was mostly a bunch of clips and removing the windshield wipers.

You have to start with taking the wiper arms off. Then remove the curved plastic parts in the corners of the windshield. Be careful since there are little push pin / button things that easily fly off and disappear and they they cost more than you expect an little piece of plastic should.
I had something periodically clog the driver's side nozzle. While still on the car, I tried backflushing with compressed air but the particle just moved back into the hose a little. I came back after several uses of the wiper / wash function.
Taking it apart and backflushing each nozzle and the hose system is the only foolproof way to clean it out.
You could drill out the spray nozzle so the hole is bigger than the particle you want to pass but you'll flood your windshield with fluid with each use and probably not get the desired spray coverage.
