Hi all, I'm new to the forums and new to Fit ownership. I just bought a 2010 Fit Sport in fantastic condition and I'm super excited.

I want to get a retractable cargo cover, and I was wondering if the 1st gen retractable cover will fit my 2nd gen Sport. Anyone tried this? I can't find the exact specs to measure, and I've searched around without finding the answer anywhere. I can get one for about $30 cheaper, and since it's kind of expensive already for something that IMO should have come with the vehicle, that makes a difference to me.

I've also considered making one out of foam core, but I really have my heart set on the retractable one, so I'm on the hunt.

The 2010 is the GE model, and I'm fairly certain that the 2008 cover which is the GD model are different. The GE family models are rigid and form fitted to the cargo area. Hope this helps!

 

I know for a fact that it won't fit. My daughter had an 08 and mine is a 2010. I tried swapping them and the geometry is different. Search the forums though. I know someone hand made a a pretty nice one some time ago.

 

I just made one out of scrap materials-I refused to pay what they wanted for what amounts to a piece of masonite or plastic.
