Sad day yesterday

Have baby'd this girl since day 1.
Not a single ding anywhere, no wheel scrubs, ~8K/mi year.

Minivan misjudged how far I was before they attempted to turn left through an intersection. Tried to avoid.
All left side airbags deployed.

Wondering if this is going to be totaled. No engine or drivetrain damage. Drove to a parking lot after the wreck.

No one hurt. Daughter was in backseat behind me.
No idea what I'll get for a replacement. Really love the Fits. Might get a '13 GE8 if I can find one in really great shape.
If not a fit, not sure Maybe Mazda 3 hatchback?

Looks like more people are losing Fit due to accidents than to mechanical failures. Wonder why? I am getting cut off countless times by fat-a**ed pickups and SUVs, not to mention BMW and Mercedes operated by short-d**k drivers with huge complexes of inferiority

I'm betting that will be totaled. Especially with air bag deployment.
Glad nobody was hurt.- That's the key.

Glad everyone is okay. There is high percentage chance that your car will be totaled. Based on my past experience, ('07 GD, T-boned RIP!) If three or more airbags are deployed, it will be considered a total. Also, it looks as though the unibody may have been twisted. Hope you'll be able to find a "Fit" replacement ! :-)

Sorry about this.

Glad you're all alright.

Did the airbags deploy?

Let us know what you decide on for a replacement. Good luck.

Yea, all the airbags on the left side deployed.
If it is totaled, haven't decided on a replacement. I DEF want another hatchback though! Love them!
Thinking maybe a '13 Fit, or Mazda3 or GTI or something along those lines

I saw at least 3 airbags ... So there's that.
That one shot at the bottom of the B-pillar is what really had me thinking it was a loss. If not for that it actually appears that the only damage is the doors themselves (little place on rear fender lip too)

That should be totaled. If I were you, I'd hope it is totaled.

That's a total. Sorry for the loss, but glad you're both OK!

'13 GE, Golf/GTI, and Fiesta ST come to my mind for what I'd shop for. If shopping Mazda's inspect for rust really well. They seem to be the one car company that hasn't solved that problem. They used to be horrible, but somehow still haven't gotten much better.
