Suspension fix? Softer???? (Yas!)

My 2010 Fit with +100K miles now rides like a *&%$#$ truck, and every time I go over a bump or a pothole my 80 year old bones and teeth ache!
So even tho I know this is probably a sacrilege, I'd really like to get my Fit to ride one helluva lot softer!
Right now I can't afford a Buick, but if there are replacement shocks or coils (or any kind of suspension fix) that can cause this {otherwise quite excellent} vehicle to ride like one, I would greatly appreciate hearing about it?
My old bones do thank you,
Skip Leib

Perhaps an air ride suspension ? I would just worry about going too soft, because then the car's handling will be all wobbly. Curious to see what others suggest...

Goto a bigger tire size. Like 185/60/16 if you're on 16's.

The 2012+ Fits have a slightly softer ride than the earlier years. My wife's 09 is noticeably firmer, esp in the rear, than my 13. So you could get the spring & shocks from a 12+ and swap them. But it won't be "a lot" not like a cushy Buick. FWIW, the Fit weight distribution is like 62/38 so the front needs to be somewhat firm to handle the weight transfer on cornering. I wouldn't go too soft.
