Stupid Thicc Tires on GE sport

Just got 17x7.5 rims w/ 45mm offset and ordered 225/45/r17s tires for it.... i am gonna increase the ride height back to stock. Someone tell me this is a good idea please. I'm fine with rubbing on the fender and lining just concerned they might rub on the struts.

That's a bad idea because those tires are miles off of the right height & are going to weigh way too much and slow the car down/worsen fuel economy.

7.5 is pretty wide... it's going to look like a monster truck at stock ride height.

It is a full inch taller, your speedometer will be off...I vote bad idea. But, if you do it, report back?

This is the lamest post on this forum.

That says a lot.

It is going to look double butt because you'll have eight feet of wheel gap & tires that stick past the car. People with no taste shouldn't modify cars.

Tbh they fit like a glove... they fill out the sides of the wheel wells quite nicely, 15s and 16s could never do this in my opinion. Very minimal rubbing on front liners only on turns. Been driving on them for about a week now on all types of road conditions and I’m almost confident enough to drop the ride hight gradually. Fenders will need to be rolled and maybe some liner trimmed but we shall see.
