Side View Mirror Paint Advice

Side View Mirror Paint Advice
Hey all,
Had a run-in with one of those orange cylinders and damaged the side view mirror on my 2011 FS - whole thing needs to be replaced. Kicking myself, but it could have been worse.
My repair guys are asking me to head over to O'Reilly and pick up the "polished gray metal metallic" paint and primer myself and they'll put it on the mirror part. This is all unfamiliar territory to me and I don't want to spend more money or time than I need to in the store. I know where to look for the color code on the door but what exact items do I need to be picking up?
Also, any chance I could get something that would also help with a spot of rust on the hatch door or do I need separate touch up paint for that?
Any insight greatly appreciated!!

Dupli Color should have the color that matches your OEM paint. I have used it before and it is a pretty darn close to original and with it being on the mirror it will help. You will need primer, paint, clear and sandpaper. Rough paper all the way up to wet sanding 1500-2000. They usually sell a variety pack at the parts stores. I would also get a can of the dupli color clear coat to add once you have a few good top coats.
My grill I did on my civic using auto store spray can paint:
You can see the color difference but the original paint is from 01 and with yours being a mirror it wont be near any other painted parts per say
For the rust it will need to be removed and then you can use a touch up pen/brush to blend it. Dealer has the pens but I think there are aftermarket options.
