Mirror scratched on Parking Lot pillar

Honda Paint Pen
Hi,
I went too close to a underground parking pillar as I was backing in and scratched the side of my Driver's mirror. I had bought one of those Honda Paint Pens and immediately put some on. But it looks bad. Looks like I put nail polish on it. I had to go out in the rain so I don't know if the paint had a chance to dry so I can't put the clear coat on yet. Also, the salesman had ruined the tip of the coloured side when he was demonstrating it.
Does anybody have an idea how to make this look any better? I've owned the car only a month and now I don't feel so good about it. Thanks for any suggestions
