Cracked fog light on 2010 Tafetta White Sport

Detailing the car today and to my horror I noticed a rock indent and a nice crack almost spanning the entire length of the passenger side fog light. Called my local dealer up to see about replacing and the guy said $500 after getting over the initial shock and hanging up on the guy I decided to post on here to see if anyone has an idea about a way to fix or replace without spending 500?

most of the members here addressed the problem of potential fog light lens crack by using a film over their lens to prevent damage/strengthen their lenses in case of road debris and flinging death rocks.

ive heard you cant purchase just the lens for the fogs and you will need to place the unit as a whole.

you should also take prevent measure and use a mesh guard for your lower air dam to prevent a/c condenser damage/failure. its also not covered by warranty if damaged by debris and or rock and fog light lens film.

i don't know who you called but thats just wrong.
the part only costs 132 at bernardi.
Find Honda Parts and Honda Accessories by Car Model - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories

still expensive but a lot cheaper than 500

also make sure you get the film soon. protecting the
fogs on our cars is important when they cost that much.

After having the Fogs lenses on my last 2 cars crack, I then decided never again for fogs.

your still calling the dealer after that quote? Also the bumper
does not have to come off. I repeat the bumper does not have
to come off in order to take off your fog lights.
the fogs only have one screw and the come right off. good luck

The bumper doesn't have to come off, but it comes off amazingly easy. We're doing foglight all the time at the dealership I work at (we use really big, grappy rock in the winter mixed with out sand) and after you've done it a few times, the bumper removal/install takes all of 15 minutes. A screw by each headlight and a bunch of push pins along with a set of clips along the headlight. The whole thing pulls off. My recommendation is a film though, to prevent further cracking.

OP Get a replacement foglight assembly..then apply this.
Lamin-X Clear Headlight and Colored Films

I've got the yellow film on my TSX and Fit fogs. Protects it well.

I've got clear headlight armor on my fogs. No cracks so far, and I don't anticipate any: HeadlightArmor Clear, HID Blue, Racing Yellow, and Smoke Light kits

Ugh! I just noticed mine was cracked! I've only had it for a week. Rats. I'm gonna see if my CPO warrentee will cover it...if not, I may have to do the DIY.

Why are these things so fragile??? I mean, they are hovering inches above the pavement at 60+ mph... Def need headlight armor after the fix. Sheesh! =)
