Broken coil bolt--does the engine need to be removed to drill this out?

I had trouble with the coil bolt because it I don't have a tool to drill it out that would fit into the space.
Even if I am horrendously incompetent though, why shouldn't I attempt things that are out of my reach? How else would I ever become less so?
Don't worry, I have assistance available for anything I cannot do and I can purchase or borrow whatever tools I don't have.

What coil bolt was broken? Cyl #1 or another?

It was #2. I will soon decide whether to remove the lower end. I’m thinking yes, why not?
