This is the radio I want to get for my Fit:

It is a Jensen VX6020 and here is a link to where I am buying it from Jensen VX6020 Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com It has navigation, plays DVD's, CD's, and iPod too. What does anyone else think of it?

Power output does seem low. You may want to consider saving a few more bucks and getting a nav radio with a little more power.

You do also have the option of making use of those preouts and buying a 4 channel amp to go with your radio.

Nothing says fuck subwoofers then 4 high quality speakers that are properly amplified

yeah, i'm sorry back in my Circuit Sh*tty days, Jensen was our entry level brand. Most OEM head units are made by Alpine. You can get so much better than that just for a few bucks more.

No. The warranty won't cover the replacement radio, of course, nor any problems directly caused by it...but I can't really imagine what problems any halfway decent aftermarket radio, properly installed, could conceivably cause.

(This is federal law, by the way—it's part of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.)

do you have to remove the center console in order to get to the e brake wire to attach the green wire from a clarion nx602 so you can watch dvd's because I do not want to do the bypass?

The wires will go back up towards the dash somewhere and, if you knew where, then no you can tap into them. But, you have to know where they go and the color of the wire.

We have enough people here tat have had their consoles out and hopefully one of them can remember.

Here's the bypass I used on my Clarion. It connects at the radio with no need to splice into the car's wiring.

I used the same bypass on my Pioneer DVD player and it honestly took a whole 2 min to install and works like a charm.

I bought mine from crutchfield so it came with all installation gear that I needed other then the tools! I can't wait to get it installed and see how much better it will be then the stock radio especially satellite and the navigation and also the sound.

Same here. Works like a charm. It fools the radio into thinking the parking brake is engaged. On some of the older DVD units you could just ground out the radio's sense wire and it would do the same thing, but the newer units have smarter circuitry so you need to outsmart it. Now just for the record, it is not legal to have the DVD on while the car is moving. I never watch it while I am driving, but there are plenty times when my passenger wife likes to watch a movie. (keeps her quiet on long trips).

I just did all the wiring and crimping for the receiver harness to the adapter harness and I noticed that the black negative from the receiver has hook on it can I still cut it and hook it to the chassis ground on the adapter or does it have to be to it's own ground?
