Question Navigation Conversion NOOB: Do I have everything?

I have a 13' Fit, which came with a stock radio. I've always wanted to upgrade to a Nav system and finally have the funds to do so. I think I have everything I need, but I have ZERO experience in this so I'll definitely be getting it installed professionally. All I'm asking is if I have everything XD

I got a quote on getting this done from a shop here in town which is notorious for a huge markup, so I'm going by their vague list of what they needed to complete my install. By doing some research on my own I was able to compile the list above. One question, some tutorials I see people buying a special Metra Harness as seen here:
Amazon.com : Metra 70-1729 Radio Wiring Harness for Honda 2008-Up : Vehicle Wiring Harnesses : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Metra 70-1729 Radio Wiring Harness for Honda 2008-Up : Vehicle Wiring Harnesses : Car Electronics
Will I need this or will the Pioneer come with a compatible harness already?

/Sorry for being a noob lmao. Not a lot of support online on this sort of thing with actual details.

Where are you buying from? Crutchfield.com has it for $599 and If ordering from them, the Harness, Antenna Adaptor, and Dash Kit (and instructions on how to do all of this) all come with the purchase (which looks to be about $50 worth of stuff - Plus they are an authorized reseller so the warranty is actually valid - unlike if purchased from an unauthorized reseller) - Also, I think I have a referral code somewhere that may get you another $20 off of that.

You will need the wiring harness unless you feel like cutting the factory wires in the dash (not recommended). Using the harness would allow yo uto toss the factory head unit back in at a moments notice without having to re-splice wires.

Soldering will give you probably the best connection but a close second would be to use "dolphin connectors" that have the dielectric grease/sealant. as you get an excellent connection. - plus you don't have to have soldering skills. (search Amazon for these connectors).

Also, as a side note, I noticed the Amazon Metra Kit looked to be black and I couldn't tell if it had the silver dash plate. The one I got from Crutchfield matches the FIT's silver dash almost perfectly.

I have the NEX 5000 in my 09 fit, you have all the equipment needed. I had to do a additional software bypass on the NEX to get it bypass:

Step 1 ground parking brake wire
Step 2 turn power on push main menu button (bottom center)
Step 3 push AV icon (bottom center)
Step 4 on AV icon screen push off button (towards bottom)
Step 5 touch quadrant 4 (half inch in and half inch up from left lower corner of touch screen) hold your finger there for about 10-12 seconds. "set on" icon will appear that means you are done.

And shouldn't this be under the 2nd Gen fit ICE section?

I would have someone help you with the stereo harness soldering since it can be complicated if you are not experienced with audio installs

I would also suggest asking a friend to give you an extra hand when removing the stock radio and installing the new one, it's actually a pretty straightforward install otherwise

I did the same software bypass on the 6000NEX, I didn't need to install the parking brake wire because of the bypass
