Updated with 17" Oz Superleggeras 4 x 100 ET37 with Eagle F1 205/45/17

i feel the look is what I'm trying to achieve but the mpg has suffered drastically!!

Going to run with these for the time being - maybe til Spring/ early summer but most likely go back to the 15" NT03 and sell on the Oz

How drastically did the 17's effect the mpg? Im ruunign 15's on mine and getting 48mpg. Going to be switching to 16's soon and now im a tad worried about doing it.

With the 15" NT03- I was getting 42-44mpg ave

With the current 17" Oz Superleggeras- I'm getting 36-38mpg

I guess it also depends on the make of the alloy as well.

Some aftermarket wheels are actually lighter than OEM- even though you've gone up an inch or so

Well im running some 5th gen civic fat fives with a fairly bulky tyre.

I've got some old slipstreams that im putting on, they are usually around 5kg without tyres.....so i guess it may even out. They are slightly wider though, we'll see.

Looks like I havent updated for a while but some small updated

So......

Since I had the Buddyclub short shifter installed, I havent been able to use the locking nut to position the DC2 gear knob properly.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been able to tighten the knob so it now sit straight in the the numbers are all horizontal.

However, I managed to get my hands on the following:

Before (DC2 gear knob- notice how much of the thread of the shifter you can see)

After

Spoon Titanium gear knob 8)

I had one on my EP3 which I should have kept (along with a whole load of mods but I dont want to go there as I still feel a bit miffed lol)

Anyways, for some bizzare reason, I can actually feel the short shifting a lot better now with the Spoon knob but as you may gather from the pics, its slightly lower down which feels a bit weird for me atm but I'm sure I'll get use to it.

Spoon shorty antenna so I dont hit my OEM antenna whenever I open the boot

Wow man. I disappear from Fit Freak for two years and I come back and I see your GE6 is meaner and slicker than ever. Nice job Gary! Go rep the 1.3L Jazzes and Fits.

Looks like you had a lot of fun at Croft too! How did the Recaros do there? Cheers good man!

HAHA! Thanks Type100

I think thats about it for me in terms of mods- I had been looking at getting the 69 K&N filter but I'm not sure if it would foul my J's strut bar plus money is getting tight with the arrival of the 2nd one in Jan'13

I had an AMAZING time at Croft- hopefully get to do that every year and maybe a few other track days but will see how things go. The other guys on the track was quite surprised how well both Jazzes did and was pretty cool being about to keep up with the more powerful cars in the corners etc, but naturally had no chance on straights.

The recaros were world apart on track and the other Jazz owner said he had to get some buckets in his as he was getting thrown all over whilst out on track lol

Also, not sure if I'm not getting much exposure of my thread here- so maybe should move it to the Fit Photo section
