Poor mans short shifter

I just received in the mail a heavy weight shift knob. I have to say that it has improved the shifting significantly. I would highly recommend the heavy weight shift knob from https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/zeta...hift-knob.html I'm liken' it.

heavier shifter is not a short shifter, nor a poor man's short shifter.

how does changing your shift knob shorten the shift lever?

The knob mounts lower on the shift lever. Not by much but it places the knob in a good position for me. Obviously not short enough for many.

i agree, I did skunk2 knob without the locking thing they give you and it's pretty much like a mini-short shifter

Out of curiosity, why did you post this in the photos/videos section without a photo or video?

You could look into picking up the Mugen shifter, it does sit the knob about 20~25mm lower, plus it comes with harder durometer rubber bushings to kill some of the slop. I replaced even those with some brass bushings I purchased many years ago for my old 5R Teggy that already came with metal bushings from Honda unlike the RSX-S.
