I agree about the seats, they get and hold dust easy

Welcome to the site

Don't mind the haters re: price paid....in my opinion it's a little rude to roll into someone's progress thread, ask how much it cost, and then jab you for paying slightly over MSRP. There are so many variables involved in OTD price...

Clean start on the Fit. I'd recommend some weight reduction, sticky tires, and lightweight rims to bring out the true sporty nature of the car. 17" is a little big but each own. Bride interior would be sick...don't forget the door panels and shift boot if you go this route.

For weight purposes, yes. For aesthetics, 17's are perfect.

And I wouldn't match the panels/headliner personally.

Yeah definitely I'm going to get some 16'' Volks CE28N pretty soon here and drop it wing swift springs.

I'll keep you posted.

LOL...just commenting on the difference b/w a half-azz job and a quality job. The door panels are the only thing in the car matched to the seats (off the top of my head)...it just makes sense to swap them together.

I tried and failed at re-upholstering the door panels...the sharp curve of the armrest makes it nearly impossible to get a bubble free result. Professional install is recommended.

As for 17" wheels... KA specific wheels are now a plenty. I know of RAYS and WORK has KA versions of their popular line up from 14" to 17" and they are indeed light.

Update:

Decided to pick up some OEM Honda floormats today while I wait for my other parts coming in. Here are some impromptu pics taken from my phone:

Installation was pretty straight forward. I was a bit nervous cutting the carpet to install the floormat locks, but it was pretty simple.

I'd like to drop some weight, but I actually need that back seat. It looks like I'll just have to watch what I eat.

I agree, though, on the light wheels and sticky tires. No matter what the car, that combo always equates to more fun.

Will do,

I'm looking to get some Enkei RPF-1 in a 16x7.0 ET43mm, but does anyone know how flush these will come out to the fender? Anybody try a ET35mm?

My Enkei RPF1 15x7 ET42 sit very flush in the front. The rears could use a 10 mm spacer for that herra frush look....but that isn't something I really care about. I'm using 195/50/15 series tire...You might consider a 205/50 series tire for a slightly meatier look. Be warned though, if you're planning to dump your ride then you will have rubbing issues. I'm using progress springs and have no rubbing...but I also have 3.5 finger gap on my set up.

BTW, ET35 will look like ass and require spacers unless you like your wheels recessed into the fender wells....
