I recently changed from 195-55-15s on Enkei RPF1 wheels to 205-50-16s. on Kosei K1 wheels.. The difference in weight and the effect of taller final drive ratio with the larger wheels and tires noticeably hurts acceleration, braking and steering effort and suspension function... The positives of the larger wheels and tires is better traction, lower revs at highway speeds and the rotating mass carries you further when coasting which can improve fuel mileage figures if you choose to exploit it.

I'm going with 15" cause that the size of the Wheels I got, I'm I wanted 15" or 16" and It so happen I got a good deal on this set of rims (wife got for me ).

Texas Coyote

Thanks for the info, I'm really thinking about go with the 195's cause I'll be lowering the car as well (H&R) and I didn't want the tires to rub to badly. I didn't think of the effect it would have on the car with the bigger tires, but I was thinking about the traction difference. Where you lowered when you had the 195/55 and did it rub?

I'll be rolling the fenders as well.

Also got my key fob in yesterday plus 15hp

There actually is NO reception from that antenna at this time. ^_^ It's apparently not plug'n'play like we thought it was. So right now he's got his original antenna sitting behind the C-pillar inside the car. I've been too busy lately to mess with mine (it's not even on yet), but I'm going to see if I can re-wire the new one to plug right up to the old one. If I can, I'll let you know how.

Edit: My bad...didn't know you were online too.

Those new wheels are bad ass

Is the offset +40? Can't wait to see the "Legendary" brakes too! Did you get SS lines to go along with it?

BTW, the action is really picking up on Xceedspeed, its going to be an epic year, can't wait to see you and your wife out on the Dragon with us again, this time TWICE the Fit for TWICE the fun

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. They are a +25 offset and as for the "Legendary" brakes. All done and works great.

I was so close to getting those rims when they were on sale, but I'm too worried about the offset and rubbing. Lmk how they work out!

Yea I'll be doing that at the same time as lowering it, I got the tool to roll it but how do I pull the fender the other way I found so far is using a phone book.

FYI, you might want to order the nuts and mounts from Honda first. We had a LOT of trouble tearing those off of the stock dampers. Wasn't really worth it - just buy them new.

I got a shark fin off ebay for around $70 that was already color matched. It was plug and play. Just thought someone might want to know.
