Placed an order for 2 diff bearings today for the wavetrac LSD install.

Still waiting on Brian for news on the harness issue. If he doesn't have anything by the time I wrap up the LSD install, I'll have to resort to plan B with stand alone, and racepak IQ and such. I'm sure you guys get it.

Anyways on a lighter note these came in today.

Aww yea, cause I'm premature like that. LOL!

Subscrizzled...hopefully I'll get to see this in person this summer.

I think you're gonna have a hard time getting the RBC to clear the rad support...especially the hood latch. The RBB PRB or RSP might be an easier fit....or ITBs like Js Racing!

Hey black glad to see you made it!!

Lol, it funny because I'm more excited to see your civic. Are planning on going map's proving grounds? If so hopefully I'll see you and geoff's k24 there.

Anyways about the mani. Hopefully it'll be ok.

I've seen some pictures of k ge8 from Asia and hopefully with our longer nose the rbc will fit, or I'll attempt to make it fit first. Lol If not I still have my prb mani that came with the motor.

*note* our hood latch is on the other side of the radiator support

It may be out of your budget but you could get a removable tube frame front end fabricated (maybe $300-500?)....that would give you a lot more room to work.

Something like this:
Nissan S14 240sx S14 Tube Frontend Fabrication

^ that was also a possibility that was thrown around by me and some buddies of mine.

At the end of the day though we always concluded that since I'll be the first or among the first people attempting this swap on a USDM fit, we'll just try to solve snags as they arise. Which always involves more time and money, but oh well gotta pay to play.

I've also been thinking of that ever since I saw Felix do it to his GD3.

Well, as long as you still have that PRB manifold lying around (just in case) you should be fine. What is your plan for a radiator? Keeping power steering? AC?

If I kept my Fit I wanted to try a J swap. The J will clear the hood in a GE Fit and CRZ. Brian G @ Hasport was messing around with the Eibach CRZ and took some pics with a J32 in the bay. V6 Fit would be tits.

I am running the OEM radiator on my K24 GD and have very little issues. Water temps are normally around 190F in the summer. I never have really seen under the hood of a GE but at most you might endup having to make new mounting brackets for the radiator. Another option for the intake manifold might be the skunk2 manifold. I think it's half inch shorter then the RBC. Anyways if the RBC can be made to fit in the GD it should work in the GE

On the note of a J swap, I have day dreamed about putting one in a GD but I honestly have no idea if it would fit between the frame rails.

I have yet to pull the tranny apart for the LSD install. I'm also waiting to see if any of the gears need to be rebuilt when I pull it all apart.

The clutch and flywheel are going to be here on Thursday according to ups tracking.

Honestly though I want to make sure every hardware is good to go before hand. I REALLY would rather not pull this thing in and out of the car once its set so I want to sure things are fully prep before I do the test fit. My buddy uses his home garage and lift for many side jobs so when we finally rip the fit apart I don't want it to tie his garage up for too long. He says its fine if it sits there for awhile but I rather it not. For courtesy purposes.

So please be alittle patient with me. I'll fully document and more importantly take loads of pictures for guys.

Are you going to be using the Si tran? If I remember correctly they had a recall on second gear. Its worth looking into, to make sure its all good because like you said you dont want to be pulling it out again.

More toys courtesy of ups

Although they accidentally sent me stage 1 and not 2. Oh well at least they refunded the difference.

Yes I know it's not a real j's racing. They never made one for the steering wheel, but it still looks tits.
