How has the gloss black vinyl been holding up on the roof? Any care suggestions or precautions you'd put out there? I should've just asked at the meet but whoops haha.

Hey Andrew, it's been around 8 months since I had it installed and it's still looking good.

From my experience with the glossy vinyl you want to treat it like you would any painted or glossly plastic surface. I just normally wash it like I do any painted surface and use quick detailer or wax as needed.

I'm also thinking about one day doing a vinyl black top. What are your thoughts on a matte black vinyl instead of gloss black?

I've had matte CF vinyl before I did gloss black-- looked good, it's pretty much personal taste. I like gloss black way better for what I'm going for now. As far as maintenance, everything Wais says haha.

The only problem with matte finish vinyl is that if you drive it everyday you are running the risk of it damaging much easier then if it was a gloss finish

I have never ran it myself so I am not the expert on upkeep but I personally would not suggest it on a daily-driven car but for a showcar/weekend toy

That's very true-- I found it more susceptible to scratches because of it's not-so-smooth surface;

Update!

I was finally able to pull the trigger on my Mugen parts and some other exterior things. Just waiting on a set of Koni Str-t shocks and that should be good for awhile.

I have the following waiting to be installed in the next few weeks in this photo..

Mugen front lip
Mugen rear lip
Mugen badge
2013 headlights
New rear hatch inside cover
In-cabin filter
Mobil 1 oil and filter
ATF

Pending:
Mugen exhaust (waiting to be installed)
Koni shocks (ordered)

Washed my car for the first time in over a month and headed over to our monthly meet

Credit to Zuriel for the pic!

Looking forward to adding my Mugen parts and transforming the exterior in the coming weeks

Once those new headlights go on and the Mugen goodies, it'll really be a Mad Panda build haha
