For sale: The only turbo ge8 in the united states.

As I'm rebuilding my fit a new option has come to mind. Sell it. I love my fit but there are other platforms out there just waiting for my loving hands. Now this isn't very serious, because I'm not actually willing to just let go of my baby. But for the very reasonable price of $18,000 you can own your very own piece of history. I would not be willing to sell it to you at more than 8 psi. Anything beyond that you can dial in yourself.

2009 Honda Fit Sport AT ORM

55k on the chassis

50k on the short block

20k on the head

T28 turbo at 8 psi (current tune is safe to 10psi)

rsx-s injectors

aem fic

huge fmic, intake temps never >5 above ambient

aem uego

ultragauge

autozone boost gauge

Excellent SQ stereo setup with Polk MM 6.5 components and 2 kicker cvr12s and pioneer touchscreen headunit (with GE8 background!)

Megan lowering springs

Trans cooler with 120 mm cooling fan.

Includes (but not installed) rear seats and spare tire and stock exhaust (completely compatible with my turbo downpipe for silent but deadly boosting (except the scream of the l15a7 begging for mercy under the hood)

Includes, at request, the first ever usdm GE8 blown short block and head (I keep the bent rod/piston)

-much more

18k PM me.

The supply is one (1), the market will bear whatever price I choose

I'm beginning to question your competence man. You had that thing together very quickly and have a wealth of knowledge that is beyond that of the average shmoe that talks about doing what you have pulled off.... Work all of the bugs out of it and beef up the internal parts and do something outrageous with it, like racing BMW driving yuppies for their Pin slips and take the loser's car to a Japanese car gathering and charge the people there a pretty nice fee to take an 8 pound sledge hammer to it and post it on YouTube.... I'm sure an insurance broker could figure out how to make extra money off of the deal as well and the notoriety of your Fit would make it a much more desirable car kind of like O.J.'s White Ford Bronco.

You know, right now it's just the lack of a backup car that bothers me. Anybody have a beater they want to donate to the cause All my cars seem to die at the same time.

So you finally decided to go with a Foxbody 5.0? Or do you think you'll be joining me on the darkside?

I can get you a running 1G AWD 5MT for $2k. What you do with it from there is up to you, but I can point you in the right direction.

Nah, I'm going to save the foxbody for my midlife crisis years. There's just nothing I could contribute to the platform that hasn't already been done. I love my ge8 and only a crazy sum, like 18k, would get rid of it for me. Then I'd get a v6 performance package '11 mustang. I doubt that would happen unless there's somebody out there with more money than time. I plan to stay with the platform and keep the good fight going for the GE8. Really what I should be doing is offering to turbo a few GE8s for people. Just enough to get them up and running and educated. The bonuses I was getting at work have dried up and finances are becoming a reality even with the low cost of the parts I'm working with now.

As much as you have been able to get done on your Fit in the short period of time you have been wrenching on it, I say stick with it..... I see that the temperatures up your way are hanging in the same area ours are lately. That has me concerned with whether you are going to have to be messing with the tune frequently to not suffer a loss of power or engine... For some strange reason the CEL on my car hasn't lit up in over a tank of fuel and the exhaust odor is like it was before boost.

I've heard that people are having problems with the v6s, but you like fixing things, so go for it should the opportunity arise! Lot of bang for the buck, and not bad looking. I hope you keep your Fit of course.
