Thanks! I am really liking it too. I feel like it was what I was missing from really enjoying my fit. I am on Eibach Sportline springs

^^^ As far as lowering springs for the GE go, I think the Eibachs look the best...

How is the ride with the sportlines?

might as well add my setup for people to reference:
Tanabe df210's on 16x7 ssr type-f's (+42) front & (+37) rear after 5mm spacer & 185-50-16 tires (all around) i regularly have 4 people in my car for long trips and i never end up scraping. Great daily driver friendly option for those of you who are not looking to slam your car but want to improve on the fit's handling and appearance. https://i638.photobucket.com/albums/...ps62b5e0b4.jpg https://i638.photobucket.com/albums/...ps45fba1a8.jpg https://i638.photobucket.com/albums/...psd8586b81.jpg |
Anybody running 18x7.5 +42 offset with df210 springs. Been searching and it seems that people who have 18" have coilovers.

Ride is not too bad. My girlfriend has not complained and says it feels similar to stock :D (unless I drive really fast over really bumpy roads, and this is her in the back seat). I definitely feel more imperfections in the road, but even when I was on stock springs I still felt harsh road conditions and avoided them as much as possible. Today I was in my friend's stock 09 GE and it felt similar to my current set up. IMHO I like them, I like the drop and it feels more grounded/planted (looks like it should, and drives more like a car not a boat :P). It is not bouncy if that's what you're worried about. It really depends on your personal preference. I hope this helps

Nice comparison between stock vs. lowered on Buddy Club Coilovers:

SBC GOTDAMN. Looks hot. VG Sharkfin?
|
SBC and random ebay sharkfin before they got hot...Hard to say, I bought the first reasonable thing that was color matched.
|
Cool. Was it expensive? Cuz if it wasn't then it's not VG. No clue why they're so expensive, except for what you said - they're popular now. Does it actually have a wire antenna inside that screws onto your oem threads?
|
Yeah, that's the one. Idk...$60-80, back in 2010.
|
Ok yeah that's probably VG then. I guess it's not THAT much considering it's paint matched...just seems high to me for a freakin piece of plastic and a wire. But it works so well on your car with the very minimal (tasteful) mods. Got that oem+ look down for sure.
|
Holy fawk. That shit looks hawt. I think I found my next wheel.

TEINS here i come
hi guys.. so its been 3 weeks riding on with my tein s techs on my fit.
i would like to thank all freaks who answered my queries. ride quality is good, handling has improved drastically, the front front wheel fender gap however is more than the rear IMO. but overall i am more than satisfied with teins. also got ingalls camber bolts. special thanks to chris@redshiftmotorsports for the parts :thumbups: here are some pics- sorry for the bad quality, i lost my cam in a car meet:( before http://imageshack.us/a/img33/9650/w094.jpg just after the springs installed http://imageshack.us/a/img707/7883/5fmx.jpg 2 weeks after the install http://imageshack.us/a/img607/2529/1d44.jpg 3 weeks after install http://imageshack.us/a/img31/1162/0rxv.jpg |
