Extended Studs / Spacers

I'm looking at doing 5mm spacers in the rear with extended studs and extended lugs. Anyone swapped out their studs for longer studs and know how involved it is?

Also, are the studs in the H&R Trak+ 5mm kit of good quality? Not like the Fit has incredible torque or anything...

Cheers

I don't think you need longer studs for just 5mm.

Also, I'm pretty sure you will have to trim the ends of the stock lugs if you use on of the spacers with the new lugs built in, because the stock ones will hit the back of the wheel when you are trying to put it on for something as thin as 10mm.

I'd just get longer studs. You might have to remove the brake rotor if you do the front (probably not), but they just tap out of place, and then you can draw them back into place with a bolt on the front.

I'm just going based on what I've read here. Someone with actual experience on the Fit should be able to tell you for sure.

dude for 5mm spacers don't even worry about swapping studs, there is still plenty of thread left for the lugs

I'll probably just throw some longer studs in the S2000 rotors up front. I think I'll hold off on the wheels and spacers until I set up the suspension and brakes.

I don't think you'll find them necessary, but if you are going with extended studs.. get the ARPs

5mm is about the most you would want on stock studs though.

its not entirely necessary to trim the stock studs off to run the bolt-on spacers, most wheels even the stock wheels have room in the disk to clear the stock studs, only some wheels like the kosei/buddyclub have a solid disk/hub where the wheel mounts

also does anyone know how long the stock studs are? i been wanting to run extended studs, but i dont want to go too long or my stock wheel and stock lug nuts might not clear the longer studs since its closed nut
