I like to drive aggressively from time to time and it feels like these size tires don't cut it. I mean the car handles great, don't get me wrong, but it slides a big when pushed hard but does come back though.

I was thinking about my first new car, a 2000 Contour SVT and it had 215/50/16's but when it first came out, it had 205/55/16's and that's the tire size I wondered if it would "fit" the Fit

I'm looking for proper wear on the tire too, I know it "fits", but I'd like it to be safe and proper too, thanks guys!

 

Size is one factor but don't forget type of tire. I know 6" can handle the 205 but anymore I don't know. if you still running the stock tires then upgrade to something stickier.

 

I'm actually surprised at the tires that came on the car from the factory, they've got a 340 treadwear number, only 40 higher than the BFG KDW2's I had on my Mini. I know there's stickier and better tires, but I think I'm just going to ride these out and see how it goes, thanks

Its just I'm used to throwing my previous cars into turns on roads like the Dragon and knowing its going to stick to the road and not move, I don't know about the Fit being able to do this, so I may have to tone down my driving style. I'm not a nutball behind the wheel, but I've been acustom to going in and out of turns w/o worry.
