my car is also at stock height. am i safe to assume there would be no rubbing whatsoever with these wheels seeing as im keeping the same size as stock and most likely lower profile tires?

I've tried to look into the threads about offsets and such but i just can't grasp it, sorry...

you want a tire close to the same diameter as the factory tire, such as a 205/50/16, its a little wider to fit the rim better, a 185 would be stretched on a 7 inch wide rim, plus, you speedometer and mileage would stay very close to the same, if you call and order the rims, they might suggest a 225/45/16, but the tires are lot more expensive and harder to find than the 205/50/16, suggest that size to them and see what they say, in my opinion and years and years of experience dealing with tires and rims...that is the size i would go with, and you should not have any rubbing problems, according to what people are posting on this site. Offset to help you out, basically is how far the wheel sits in or out the fender, if on our cars a 16x7 wheel with 38mm offset sits even (flush) with fender, then a 16x7 wheel with a 32mm offset will stick 1/4'' of an inch further outside the car, if using a 16x7 with 44mm offset, the wheel would sit in 1/4'', the first time i started messing with rims/tires, it was a little confusing, buts its really not to bad.

thanks for the info. the offset isnt listed on this wheel, does that mean that it is the stock offset (same as stock wheels)?

16X7 4-100 38BR , the size that you listed is 16 inch diameter, 7 inches wide, 4 lug bolt pattern, with 100mm spacing (our correct size) and the offset is 38mm, and BR is for bronze...............

38 offset is no good for a fit...they will stick out and if you ever do decide to lower your car you will have rubbing issues...remember stock is 55...I wouldn't suggest anything lower than 45 unless you plan on using a smaller wheel. I find it funny that DTD lists those wheels as fitting giving the difference in offset from stock. If you go to Tire Rack they will not match up many wheels with less than 40 offset without recommending some fender mods.

38 offset isn't that bad?

his set-up in front would stick out as far as a 7" wheel with roughly a +36 offset, and his rears are effectively like +25 (if my mental math is right)

i don't think that's much poke

+1 gbaby, then you can take into effect his tire size, if you would go with a 205/50/16, that would give you an additional clearance, due to the fact that jooky is running 215mm wide tires

I sell wheels/tires as a part time job for over 10 years, while i am certainly not the most knowledgeable, i can tell what will fit, based on what other peoples posted sizes have shown and a 38mm offset with a 205mm wide tire will fit.. matter of fact discounttire.com is ONE place i order wholesale tires/wheels from, and they will guarantee the wheel/tire setup will fit or return them.

ok I'm talking from actual experience...try driving with 3 people in the car and take a turn...if you are lowered more than 1.5" you will rub! Now if he stays at stock height he will be fine but lets be honest if you're on this site chances are you're going to lower your Fit!

so i think i will lower it some more this week
he's dropped quite deep, and that offset is lower than a +38 and with wider tires

I surely understand your point about lowering and real world driving, he did say his fit is stock height, friends don't let friends drive stock height cars, but i do not know him...so what he chooses if fine with me...like gbaby said jooky's setup is more aggressive and right now with my stock height, stock rim/tires on, i rubbed my front fender lining backing up...just the other day...for all that it is worth....he would be okay with this setup lowered or stock i say....my opinion only....we can agree to disagree...i just hope enjoys his purchase and feels good about it..
