Ok- so the wifey and I are planning our move back to NY, and I was looking on Tirerack for winter tires for the GE. One thing they put out there is 14's. Has anyone run 14's on the GE? Or GD, I suppose, since the brakes are the same...
Anyway, I imagine that 14's SHOULD clear the calipers, but I'd love some genuine knowledge. Thanks Mark W.

I'm not aware of anyone that has 14" wheels on a GE but there have been a few that have on the GD sport models with positive results in auto cross events... The GD base models were equipped with 14 inch wheels from the factory. I'm not sure about whether they will work on the GE models, sorry.

 

Ok- that's all I needed to know GE has the same brake setup, so if they fit GD's, they'll fit GE's Mark W.

What I plan to do is grab a set of old Civic 14's from a local Junkyard and test fit them. I'll post pics and model info. Not going to be anytime soon (damn moving expenses!), but I'll keep you posted. Definitely before it starts to snow! Mark W.

 

On my '09 sport, I ran some 14" steelies from tirerack with 185/70/14 Pirelli Winter Carving tires I got for super cheap on closeout, and I felt invincible in the blizzards we had here last winter. They worked fine.
