a light close to stock offset not lowered wheel for 205/50/16?

I dont plan on lowering the car, and would like to stay close to stock offset- but will entertain reasons not to. I like the Koseis, but think 16x7 would be better suited for the 205.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Kosei have 16x7 wheels... I count at least eight designs that list 16x7 from http://www.koseijp.co.jp/engfl/Wheel...t%20Guide.html (they're basing fitment on the Fit, for the BASE trim, so the tire size is slightly off).

And two of those designs even have +53 offset. (Concepto Alpha and Beta). Too bad that site doesn't list weights (or at least not obviously, since I don't see it on quick glance).

Kosei K4R Light Grey Painted looks okay, while it is 16x6.5, there are plenty of 205/50 tires that fit 6.5" rims. In fact, Continental DWS's specs are measured on 6.5 wheels.

So it looks like I have my choice of 43, 44, or 45 offset. 53 would be extreme, huh?

Any knowledge on which offset would be best for suspension?

why would 53 be extreme? Stock offset is 53.

Oh! I guess it wouldn't
But would that make the 43-45's too far off? Too much strain on suspension? Or sticking out too far?

My car is black by the way- liking the look of bronze, gold, and possibly that grey you mentioned.

tire rack offers wheels for the fit in the +40s, and they are very careful with their fitments. we are talking a difference of about 10mm between +53 and +42. i think if you read around here offsets in that range are typically safe, especially if you dont plan on lowering.

+45 on 16x7 with 205s is the typical setup that doesn't rub. Closer to stock offset, the better. I run 205s on stock wheels with no prob rubbing on the inside.

ok got it, so 53 would be fine with a stock sized tire and as one gets wider you can drop in offset.

Thanks, hayden- I would too if I could, but I have the base model-
