I replaced the original Bridgestone 185-55-16's (30K miles) on my 2009 Fit Sport today with General GMax AS03 205-50-16 tires. I can sum it up in one word, "Awesome!" or in two words "Totaly Awesome".

These tires should have been on the Fit Sport from Honda. They have enhanced directional stability at highway cruising speed and stick like glue in the curves. I am a very spirited 54 year old high performance driver and I totaly recommend these tires to anyone, including you young bucks!

We'll have to see how they hold up on the mileage side but they offer a significant improvement over the stock hides and really make the car better.

The 205 50 16's are only about .10" taller and about .5" wider than the stock tires. After I decided on this size I found that Tire Rack has a write up about moving to this size: 205/50-16 Tires for Your Honda Fit Sport - The Truth About Tires | Tire Rack

Check the weight specs before you buy, one brand in this size weighed 5 pounds more per tire than stock ! The General GMax weighs the same as stock.

I have these in 205/40/17 and love them. Bought them after reading all the reviews that praised them for quietness and comfort

Thanks for the update. Very timely as I'm trying to decide between these and the Kumho Ecsta PA31.

How much tread is left after 30K? Think they'll go 50k?

 

E J it looks like about 6/32" left. I think they will make 50K. Much better than the stock hides. When they do go, I'll buy them again.
