14 x 6 American Racing Mesh AKA Enkei 92's

In process of restoring them, barrels need to be cleaned. Lip will be polished, and center will be resprayed. Only got them yesterday, knocked off alot of dirt and road grime. Updates coming.

Subscribed.... I like wheel restore threads in general, but I hope you intend to get SLAMMED over those! I like how a slammed GE on 15's looks, so lets see what you can do with these

Dunno about slammed. Im using 2.0 springs from a GD, so......that will net me maybe over 2 inches drop.

Im going old school here, hopefully a tasteful drop, wood shift knob and steering wheel. Cruise like that for a lil........

Im gonna pick up some over cleaner to get rid of that caked on stuff in the barrels...will post tommorow.

Whats the opinion on color? Thinking same color, less faded lolz.......dont really wanna go black as I think the gold is a nice contrast IMO.

So. Picked up some Oven cleaner and supplies, pulled car on lift at my lunch hour and pulled the wheels.

Supplies.

Only focused on the inside barrells as I had little time.

Before, and this is after some degreaser and steel wool. They were pretty beat.

Soaking and this followed with some scrubbing with a brush.....

Now this is with a little effort here. To be honest Im not sure this was the same wheel I pictured above. I was hustling and didnt keep up. Discovered a couple of the rims have some bends in them, but must be minor as they ride out great.

Going to focus on some rough spots IN the barrel, where metal is damaged like a caliper came loose and gouged metal. Grind them flat.

Figure I will paint the barrels black or aluminum cast color.....input on that?
