Thanks, cjacpa: Will those fit the base 09 tires? I've got a feeling that I should just wait and plan on getting a nice sport 5 speed and let my wife worry about the wheels on her Xmas base (she won't )

Question Beauty rings on OEM steel wheels?

This isn't exactly what it would look like, but hopefully gives an indication.. what do you think of beauty rings on the stock steel wheels?

Ok.... for 1 I really need to take some photo shop classes.... and 2 I kinda REALLY dig it! I do come from a back ground in classic cars... but that has possibilities.

Yeah, I like it too, the more I look at it... will look into actually getting the real thing and trying them out.

BTW, TP, your cinnamon colored Fit looks fantastic! And, that's a nice shine, what do you use?

Hehe.. "Snap Ons".. very retro looking, too much for me:

.. they used to have snap on white walls many years ago; I did a search and they apparently still do have a newer version of them for those interested (click here)

Near Final result

I gave the steel wheels three coats of black spray paint and three coats of clear coat, the new steel beauty rings and new black lug nuts. Still waiting on the center caps, but I like the looks of it.

I think the center caps will help round them out for a more "completed" look. I Def dig it though!.... Now it just needs "moar low"

Thanks, TP, yeah, I can't wait to get them! As to the low... would love to do it, but we have a really killer driveway entrance which I can just barely get up when I angle in slowly and I'm afraid if I lowered it, even one inch, I wouldn't be able to park up next to our house. And I would even be willing to forgo that, but this is actually my wife's Xmas present car, I just have a hard time staying away from it!

Got the caps

Just got the wheel caps. I found these Mr. Gasket GM chrome dust caps on Ebay for $2.61 a two pack (click).

They did not fit my Fit so I cut slots using a dremel tool with a cutting disk and then slightly bent the tabs out and they now fit tightly on the wheel. (This is the same method the stock Honda cap uses).

Here's some pix on the wheels:
Close up with black lug nuts from Ebay (click) and 15" chrome steel beauty rings (click):

This turned into a fun project for not very much money and the car now has a distinctive look.
