Will GD3 15" Sport wheels fit on a GE8 Sport?

Just as the title says . . . will 07 Fit Sport 15" wheels fit on an 09 Fit Sport? I have someone with an 09 Fit Sport with 16" wheels looking to trade for my 07 Fit Sport 15" wheels and want to know if there will be fitment issues putting my 15" wheels on her car. Thanks!

Sure they will fit with no problem. She can run a 195/60 tire if she wants to keep the same OD as the 16" sport 185/55/16

Or she could run the slightly shorter 195/55/15 from the GD sport

IIRC there was problems with the spokes hitting the calipers using the GD Sport wheels on the GE? Probably nothing a 5mm spacer wouldn't fix?

You could run 195/60/15, 185/65/15 and be pretty close to stock GE tire size. 195/55/15 would be 2% fast on the speedo but has the sportiest tire options.

I have no experience with the GD but that sounds like it could be a issue.I believe the GD sport has +55ET and +53 for the GE so I could see the possible
clearance issue.

Can anyone tell me for sure? I'm getting conflicting answers. 2mm difference in offset is nothing unless the stock wheels are really that close.

I can tell you that you wouldn't notice 2mm of offset even if you were measuring! Go for it, I like the 1st gen sports much better.

I actually saw a GE with GD wheels this weekend while on vacation in Socal. Unfortunately I was not able to see if spacers were used or not...

Would be good to get a final answer on this question?

Any update on if they do, indeed, fit without a spacer? There are a couple sets for sale in my area and I was thinking of upgrading the steelies on my '13 Base to 15in alloys.

Thanks!

Go for it. I really doubt +2 is going to make a huge difference in fitting the wheel.

Any update? Has anyone determined if they fit without spacers?

They will fit without spacers.

The TireRack database is quite useful to determine whether wheels for different cars are interchangeable. Also, you can see the offset tolerances between the different styles and manufactures.

I have a 2010 Fit Sport, looking for winter tires. I found a used set of 195/55/15 Michelin Winter X-ICE tires from an 07 Fit. Will this work?

I know this is old but I’m going to be installing my GD3 sport wheels on my GE8 tomorrow. They have brand new snow tires on them so no sense in letting them go to waste.

I doubt it will be a problem but I’ll let everyone know.

They fit. It has been done many times before.

I have seen it before myself in person.
