Questions about fitment "In need of input/suggestions"
Hello,
Just want to introduce myself since I am new to these forums as a member but a long time reader since I've owned my Honda Fit Sport since 2011. I've search for numerous threads on the topic that seems to baffle my mind. If I missed it somewhere please link it to me, would greatly appreciate it.
Anyways back on topic. My question is I'm not sure whether I made a mistake and bought the wrong size of rims or what not or might need a camber kit to make adjustments so please point me in the right direction. Here's the spec list of the rims/tires I've bought "I'm a first time buyer so I'm kinda new to this"
4 Konig Zero-In
17X7 4-100/11440RBM
Offset: +40.00mm
4 Hankook Ventus V2 Concept H437
205/45R17XL 88V DSB
1 Tanabe DF210 Springs
I've realize the offset was too low after making the purchase and didn't realize it until it was already being shipped. Will I be running into any trouble with this setup, such as rubbing or will I need a camber kit to adjust the camber? I am trying to avoid doing any fender rollings because I've heard it will effect the trade/sale value.
Again I apologize if this has already been answered else where, please point me in the right directions.
Thank You

You might have a little rubbing with the DF210 and the 205/45 tire
I think most tire shops recommend this size because it is closest to stock diameter.
This is ok on a stock height Fit but once you lower it the offset will be more of a factor in rub or no rub.I'm sure there is info on your combo if you do a search.
The DF210 is very popular and plenty of guys running 17" wheels with +40 offset
you should be good with a little camber and fender liner tuck.No roll/pull will be needed

17x7 +42 on 205/40/17 on Tanabe DF210 springs DID rub in the fronts only on HUGE bumps (which, unfortunately, is par for the course on socal freeways). To eliminate rubbing completely I dialed in 2.25 degrees of negative camber on the front with two sets of ingalls 14mm fastcam bolts (part # 81260). There was no rubbing in the rear at all!
Looks like I'm outta luck. Any recommendations? I really like the rims.
Seems like my option would be:
1. Return the Tanabe DF210 Springs and keep stock height. "Which will probably look funny with the gap"
2. Try for a different tire size?
3. Return rims and look for something else "Final resort"
Man I feel to bummed out after already ordering all this.. and forgot about the offset ;/

Don't be bummed you should be ok even if you keep this set up.The fitment game is tricky and you find some guys with the same specs on wheels/tires with one rubbing and the other not rubbing.
I'm pretty sure you can go with the tire change to a 205/40 and not rub.
I see Tanabe has the NF210 that has a less aggressive drop also you could go Eibach Pro Kit or Swifts that only lower 1" or so.
The main issue is the +40 and the 205/45 tire
If you can change the tire before installing everything you should be ok.The +40 wheels is not a big problem so dont worry about changing the wheels you like.
Even if everything is on the way and you cant make any changes you will be ok.
