I have the General Altimax Artic (non-studded) and I can tell you that these tires are amazing for their price. We have very hard winter here in Quebec and they always held good on me.

My father got them (studded) on his brand new Camry also and he lives in the North side with extreme Icy roads. Car is going like it's on rail. :-)

Had the RT 43s' installed earlier . They were $72 each before tax . Hopefully we'll get the $50 rebate from General tire making them $59.50 w/o tax . Go here if interested in pics . Got the General Altimax RT 43s' put on the '13 base FIT - Honda Fit Forum : Honda Fit Forums

I had the RT43 in 175/65/14 on my GD3.

Horrible tires. Very little grip in the dry, NO grip in the snow.

Would not buy again.

The 43s' now have over 500 miles and did very well in rain on a interstate and state road . They also corner very well with better steering response on dry roads . The gas mileage is close to that of the Ecopia EP 422s' that are on the '11 base FIT w/ auto . These are good enough for us at less than $60 each ( includes $50 rebate ) . Will keep updating . The 175/65-15 are a H rated tire .
