Anyone planning a JDM 4WD conversion?
Hoping to seed this idea for someone.
I would love to see a conversion from FF to 4WD detailed if anyone doe it in the future. Sadly all the JDM 4WD options are CVT not MT so no chance for my little Jazz but if you were going to all the trouble to swap your drums to rear disc brakes on your CVT...
Imagine a little Fit sleeper with 4WD and forced induction.

I will stop short of saying I am planning on it but I have been researching if it is possible. Been trying to piece together some pro's and cons of doing this with the car having so little horsepower, the under carriage aero bits being in the way, etc, etc. Just haven't said anything around it.
I've read up on the AWD conversions to Civics that are turbocharged and love the results. I'll keep reading and lurking on this one. Seems interesting though! I can't break traction as it is though so it's not feasible....just yet.

If you're going through all the trouble of switching from FWD to AWD then why not swap out the CVT transmission for a manual transmission while you're at it? Or is the manual absolutely not compatible with the AWD system?

from what I can make out on the Japanese Honda site, the FWD Fits are only available with the CVT.
I think that the easiest way to do it here in Aus is to wait a few years then just import a used JDM 4WD Fit with all the bells and whistles.
