Do it! The temperatures finally cooled down to less than 100F for the high and the lows get down to the low 70s or so. KTuner is a busy guy, but I'm sure if you set something up with him he'd be able to make time for you.

I noticed something! I don't think anyone asked anything about the intake you have that you are testing. Any news on that?

Been a while for another update everyone.. as of right now ktuner has been gracious enough to get the new k&n intake for the gk5 to do some more testing. he's busy right now working on other platforms.. but when he has the spot he will take the fit in for more testing and tuning with this intake, guess I'll keep fingers crossed for some decent gains.. after it happens I will give another update...

Is that just the drop in filter or a stand alone cai?

Thanks for the update. I understand time is money. Ask Ktuner that if that is a case, how much $$$ will it be to 'have the spot' asap?

It's the AEM intake.

It's all about timing, not about money. Should be soon, though!

I sent CleanGD3 a pic of the Weapon R intake that for some reason never officially came out. So....if anyone wanted to, they could make something similar with a PRM air filter and attach the inlet piece to the stock air inlet piece over the radiator.

This way, there is no fighting the warm air over the transmission that the AEM sucks in. I'm hoping ya'll test this on a dyno with the hood open. My track experience with my own version of the AEM (Minus the 'heat sheild' AEM has) had the worst 1/4 mile time. It was worse than the stock intake. I tested this before the AEM intake came out in my 'Great Intake Test' thread.

The way it worked out this intake only ended up costing me $25, so for $25 I'm more than happy to prove it either makes power or help you GK guys not waste your money.

When this is all said and done, do you plan on doing further modifications and getting your car tuned with the Ktuner? If so, who do you plan on going with and why? Just curious!

My butt dyno is accurate to +/-1.2whp and only costs a cheeseburger if it would be faster and cheaper than dyno you're trying to get on!

Sooooo!

Anyone want to draw bets? Run a poll? What do you think the end results will be? I know we'll probably get the 'I told you so' people after the fact. What do you think now?

I'm going to put myself out there.

The AEM intake will make 3whp more than the stock setup (If dyno'd with the hood up)
The AEM intake will make -4whp less than the stock setup (If dyno'd with the hood closed).

The Ktuner + AEM intake will make 6hp more than stock setup (3 more than just the intake).

There! I put myself out there. Anyone else? If you come out afterwards, you are just full of ish.
Let's have some fun with this.

Re-wrapped my Myxal SRI-CAI with extra aluminum foil to trap in sound for acoustic resonance..hopefully. Also, purchased a new filter for the 2014 larger Civic Maf sensor housing.

Waiting........

I've used these on Sprint cars, Midgets, and a couple Buggies. They are awesome..
