STOCK L15 tuning session (stock vs MoTeC)


Almost totally stock powerplant...just performance panel filter and shorty pipe exhaust.

Green is the best pull of the stock ECU. The Magenta is the best pull of the MoTeC. If there are no changes, the stock ECU is very advanced. Here you can see that with the stock engine setup, the 'vtec' cam almost has no use.

Un-bloody-believable! Is that the Direct Injected L15?

Yes, direct injected L15.
We actually found that by riding the little cam further we made better spread of power. Really, the engine is made to be a responsive and torquey, economical little city car. So many bottlenecks in this engine to open up. So rewarding to see it come alive.
