Blacking out upper tail lights

I’m fairly new and sorry if it’s been posted but has anyone blacked out the upper tail lights? Had my fit for a week but I noticed those don’t even light up.

Went with the vinyl wrap for mine. It looks super good and has lasted pretty good for a year so far but cost $120.00 at a local shop. Once mine come off i think i’ll try to find some new rear replica pillars to try and paint the inside of so it looks somewhat glossy.

they're not even lights, just cheap looking semi-reflector-things. I took mine off and plastidipped them. It makes the car look more like a small honda and less like it's trying to be a volvo or something.

I'm curious about doing this to mine, but as close to body color as possible instead of black.

I've seen some light up. Must be aftermarket tails. Either way they look nice.

I used spray-on plastic dip and it matches the rear pillars. 5 years no show signs of wear

My favorite part about Plastidip is it's reversible if you don't like it or you screw up :P
