That chrome trim in the rear

For those of you that want to have the black trim from the LX instead of the chrome and isn't afraid to do some unscrewing business .... I found the part on Bernardi!

http://www.bernardiparts.com/product...0-T5A-J12.aspx

It is listed under Electrical / Exhaust / Heater and then under License Light / License Garnish.

Interestingly enough, the black for the Lx is listed as $59.78 while the chrome one on the Ex and above is listed as $93.66

It doesn't seem like it'll be hard to remove and install. It's easy enough to remove the rear wiper, and when I was dynamatting the tailgate, I noticed about 6-8 clips holding that trim thing onto the tailgate. Only issue I think will be removing them - will need some kinda small needle nose plier since my hands were too big to fit into those tight areas.

Anyway, just throwing this out there for those of you interested. I'll probably look into it again when I have the funds or need extra parts.

Would definitely be I trusted. I was planning to go the plastidip route but this may be a better option...

I myself was contemplating plastidip, 3M wrap, or shadow chrome... But I'm not keen on something permanent or lasting only a few months. I did find a carbon fiber one on rakuten that looked badass.

Ill also be wanting to switch to the LX version as the chrome just looks nasty. The CF one that's out there sure would be nice to have.

At your cost? Does that mean free? This is the LX black one not the CF one right?

I ordered the OEM stock LX garnish from Honda. I work for a Honda dealership as a service advisor so I get employee price.... Wish I had the baller $$ for the CF one

Avery Dennison offers a "Supreme Wrapping Film" we use all the time at work (i work in Visual Production) and they offer every kind of color and finish that you could possibly imagine.... chrome, matte, satin, pearl, gloss, gloss metallic, matte metallic, brushed metallic, etc... The vinyl is incredible, durable, you dont need to laminate it, and it looks totally badass. They even offer a black AND white Carbon Fiber texture that looks absolutely real, especially once you apply it.

it's not super cheap for the entire car, but for small bits its totally worth it.

Im definitely going to be wrapping the garnish in black Carbon Fiber.

I plastidipped my trim. Couldn't figure out how to remove the Honda emblem so I just taped over it then plastidipped. I also removed the Fit emblem by heating it up w a hair dryer and sticking a credit card under it. Should have used floss.
