I too have been looking at those fog lights for my LX. What's in the long open area on the outside left and right? Are those also lights? I'll follow your install...

Yes as best I can tell the slot you mentioned will or should take a daytime running light/ turn signal similar to this:

2015-up Honda FIT OEM Fitting High Power LED Daytime Running Lights

I just ordered the above unit and once I get the order sorted out I'll post something.

I'm wonder if the plastic bezel from either kit will be the same. I would think it should be... And how it's going to get wired up remains to be seen

Wiring shouldn't be too difficult. It looks like it has connectors and a relay and should be pretty self explanatory, although it's certainly irritating it didn't come with instructions.

Here is a basic random diagram:

From here: How To Wire Fog And Driving Lights Harness Wiring Diagram

You should be able to piece it together using that and the connectors as a reference. If you run into issues installing it post here and i'll do my best to help.

Good luck

THANKS, Wanderer.

Your drawing makes a good point about just starting the "+" side of the battery and making a new independent power run for the accessory lighting. I also found an interesting product for taping the existing wiring on the car:

Posi-Lock(R) - The Best Connectors You'll Ever Use!

A bit $$ but, much better than crimp type tap connectors and easier than soldering!

I will mess around with this when the weather gets a little warmer. Cold as hell here right now

Well, i'm not sure if the existing harness has connectors for the foglights already, I assume not because it's a "base" model and I think they're accessories, not options.

If not, that's the way to go, independent wire run with a relay, it will keep your factory harness safe and separated, and will allow the bulbs to get full power. This is also useful if you ever decide to upgrade the bulbs.

Those connectors look cool, do you just plan to use them to connect the kit? It looks like it has nice connectors so you might not even need them. I think instead of tapping into the factory low beam like the diagram suggests, I would just use the switch exclusively, so you can run fogs independently from your headlights if you want too.

I don't see myself doing car work, especially accessory work, in the dead of winter myself if I had to deal with that.

Some states require that auxilary lights be switched by the headlight switch, hence the tie-in with the low beams.

I've never heard of this being checked so I'm with you concerning wiring them independently.

Now, what about the LED running lights? Is there a unit that fits that slot in the bezel or does that have to be home-brewed?

If you look back thru this post you will find a link to Amazon (for fog lts.)and one to JDM (for daytime Run. lts.).

Each kit comes with an insert for the bumper. Each has two cut outs . One for fog, one for DTR lights. I wouldn't be surprised if all this stuff was made by the same aftermarket company.

It just has not be warm enough here in PA to get outside and see how this is going to work out. Also see thread titled : Adding fog lights to LX in this forum... that will give you a bit more info. too.

Ah yes, I missed that.

I like that style that combines LED white DRL and yellow turn signals. Very conspicuous as they switch back and forth!
