are we still limited to the small receiver, or has someone released a 2" version? I can understand why there isn't a class 3 hitch for a fit, but I already have a rack with a 2" receiver and don't want to have to buy a new one, or use an adapter.

Im not sure. This is my first car ever (im 33y/o) and only needed the hitch for a rack and the yakima rack is a 1-1/4" with a 2" adaptor...check around...seems silly not to have a 2" but i didnt really look into it.

I doubt anyone will make one, like I said no one is going to put a class 3 rating on a hitch for a car that can maybe do 1000Lb. I still have not tried the claim that a bike can go across the back seat.

that's a great looking combo by the way the colors match great. How much does the Curt hitch hang down? Any noticeable loss of ground clearance?

Not loss of ground clearance at all. When installed it is not the lowest hanging thing under the car. Took 15-20min to install in my friends garage. Cost me 103$ at autoanything

Looks nice, and $103 is a great price for a Curt Hitch. So, no drilling? and 15-20 minutes to install, sweet.

The Torklift comes in a 2 inch hitch receiver, but it is still a Class I, rated up to 2000 pounds. A class 3 hitch is rated up to 5k!

You have the option of a 2" hitch or 1.25"

OK the forklift is awesome, don't know if it's worth $150 more than the alternative, but it might very well be.

FYI: The Torklift requires you to notch out the bumper.

Here is the EcoHitch from Torklift with a 2". Note the clean look. The notch was easy and I dont plan on taking the hitch off so it was worth it IMO. Install took just over an hour.

No problem opening the hatch with my commuter bike. My tri bike goes inside. Prototype in process for that.
