Lighting Upgrades

Finally had a chance this weekend to install parts that I had ordered last month.

-LED Pillar Taillights
-LED 4300K License plate/dome/map lights
-LED 4300K 35W HID Headlights.

Difficult to see in the photos but it has an OEM HID color/look to it.

I like the pillar LED. Where and how much did you get that? Does the installation require drilling (for wire routing)?

Nice, just got me LEDs in the mail. How did you wire them up? Do the uppers light up when you hit the brakes or are they just regular lights? Did you tap them to the license light?

I purchased this set off of Amazon for $149.99. Installation was easy with no drilling required. There was splicing of wiring involved though. I had originally planned on wiring the lights to come on with the parking lights and not the brakes, but later changed my mind. Instead of tapping into the license plate lights I tapped into the brake light wiring harness. The lights definitely give it a "Volvo" like look to it.

Here is a photo of the pillar lights illuminated at night:

Sweet! Thanks for the info. A couple more questions, sorry. How did you route the cable with no drilling? Do you also remember what color cables you spliced with?

The lights look amazing. Could you post a link where you purchased them on Amazon?

I'd also like to know. Which wire bundle did you splice into (which colors go where?) and how did you route the wires?

The instructions say "black to ground, red to tail light, white to brake light" but that's it.

Sorry for the late reply. I'll have to remove my taillight and send you a photo showing which wires go to which. I'll post one tomorrow. I have forgotten at this point!

Looks great PNW, I was looking at the same upgrade for mine and am very curious to see a pic of what wires you spliced as well. Also was your HID kit plug and play or did you have to splice wires for that too? Thanks

Any issues with the IJDMToy rear pillar lights?

I am thinking about getting these for my sister's new fit and they seem like a super easy install... Any errors or quality issues? How are they holding up so far? From the pictures they look decent. How OEM'ish are they?

Thanks,
-Nigel
