i might show this project in more detail, but for now, you can get these really nice dc outlets from westmarine. i installed em in the rear cargo area using the same power source i used for my rear gargo light project. you can use the power for the stock light if you choose. it's sure nice to be able to charge every now and then without having to turn on the car.

So far they have worked great. I use it to charge my phone sometimes while I'm out surfing or to keep a gopro topped off.
