obvious/cheap key fob fix?

One of my key fobs failed recently, tried replacing the battery , a 1620, no dice. checked polarity, contacts, etc. still no luck. Is there something else obvious I'm missing? (I still have the 2nd one which works fine, so no biggie.) Would rather fix on my own than replacing it.

Thanks for looking.

(unrelated, but I read with alarm the "are the 2015s really that bad" thread--have just cleared 45000 mi with no issues and know other 2015 owners locally with no problems to report--dumb luck I guess)

The community of FitFreaks is great and we have learned tons from members experiences. Too date, 207+k GK Fits have been sold in the US. GK ownership members on FitFreak are less than 5% of the total population. Your problem may not be a rampant issue and should you find a quick fix, it will help everyone in the future. Try spraying some contact cleaner before trying to take it apart. Share your results.
