Does anybody know what this little "door" is for? It is directly underneath the hood release.

 

What year Fit? My '15 does not have this, and the fastener location for the intake cowl, whatever ya wanna call it, on the passenger side is in a different location. Try opening it up and see???

 

Mine is a 2018. I have slid it open. It seems to be just a little observation window. You can see the front of the radiator. Very strange.

 

If you have Honda sensing then it might have something to do with giving access to that. The H logo on the front grill pretty much lines up with that and contains the radar system or whatever.

I bet that's what it is. My car (Sport 6MT) doesn't have Honda sensing.

 

Looks like my 18 sport model doesn't have that either.

 

Interesting. I have a 2018 Sport model and it does have it, as I noted. One of life’s little mysteries.

 

Well I guess that if you were one of Honda's preferred customers when you bought your car you're part of the inner circle and get the secret door. If not then you're not one of the privileged few and don't get the secret door, so too bad for you!
