2015 honda fit LX issue
2015 honda fit LX issue
i have an important issue i created this account to resolve it, i cant figure out how to post.
i looked at FAQ it seems i may not have the permission necessary to create a new thread.
i am having a serious electrical issue. if an administrator could PM me or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
i will run through my issue now incase anyone has something wise to say
about 2 weeks ago i was washing my car while listening to music, my car died, and i had someone at the car wash jump me. i clipped up my cables, told the guy red to red black to black, and he manage to put them on backwards.
at this point i knew my main fuse was blown, i had something similar happen in a 04 civic.
i figured out that there is a 100 amp main fuse, that they dont sell anywhere but Honda basically, and i ordered one. in the meantime i touched the two pieces of metal in the fuse to make the connection.
it worked for a week till my part came in.
i replaced the part, but it didn't fix my radio. i looked on this website and found that it may be a 15 amp fuse listed as back up.
it was, my radio worked and everything was fine for 2 days. i parked my car at the gym, and when i came out, i couldn't get it to turn over, i couldn't get the radio or the ACC charger in the front to work. windshield wipers dont work nor do turn signals, but the interior lights still work, but that is about the only thing that still works.
i pulled each fuse in all 4 fuse boxes and they alll tested good.
is there anyway that i missed one? is it some sort of deep internal wiring that has melted?
did i void my warranty replacing that stuff on my own?
i would like to post this in the right placee and get the right replies so any help is appreciated

You should be good to go.
Welcome! Sorry to hear about your Fit.
No warranty issues here because a 2015 is already past the original 3 yr. warranty.
Let me get this right: You get the interior lights, but nothing else? No lights on the dash? No warning chimes? No door lock/unlock?
The concern is that the wiring harness is damaged. Diagnosing a damaged one is theoretically possible (a car electronics shop that specializes in such things), but you could also spend a bunch of $ just to find out it's fried and needs to be replaced anyway.
If you search on "wiring harness" in this subforum, I believe there are a couple threads where people went through this process. That might give you a place to start.
